About Centre

Goals and directions of activities: deepening and promotion of knowledge about the changes taking place in countries and regions of Central and Eastern Europe, developing partnerships with research centers of these countries, conducting joint research.

 

Tasks:

1) initiating and conducting empirical research on social and economic development of Central and Eastern Europe, in particular in the field of economic prosperity, competitiveness of national ans regional economies, the functioning of markets and industries, and institutional changes;

2) disseminating and promoting knowledge about the economy of Central and Eastern Europe;

3) cooperation with scientific and cultural centers, economic organizations and other partners in Poland and abroad;

4) providing expert and educational services as well as organizing and co-organizing courses, trainings, lectures and seminars on socio-economic problems, etc.;

5) cooperation with local governments and non-governmental organizations as part of research on regional spatial aspects of socio-economic development.
